So I got this great deal on a used set of Firestone Ride Rite airbags. I plan on using them on my stock 05 SR5 4x4 that never had the TSB done.

So while I am getting ready to install them today I noticed the previous owner has welded a two inch lift on the bottom bracket. My truck is not lifted and I don't plan on doing it either. The additional lift was not mentioned in the ebay listing. I contacted the previous owner and he claims they worked fine on his stock suspension truck and that he doesn't accept returns. I am pretty sure ebay would side with me if I choose to dispute the sale and return them because there was no mention of the 2 inch fabrication.

Im just trying to decide if I should install them or dispute the ebay purchase and send them back. What do you think? Should I install them, will they work with my stock suspension. I am thinking it will be a tight fit, not to mention they are probably designed to be used with a certain amount of travel etc.

Honestly if it were me, I'd just crack another beer and cut them off.

I don't think that would work with a stock truck. Guy should of told you about that. You could cut that off with a little bit of work.

Edit: I did'nt refresh, everyone agrees.

I took everyone's advice and cut the welds. Well ok, after attempting to cut them with my available tools I took them to a local shop. They are now cut ground and rattle canned. I will install them next week on my day off.
