Has any body here used boom mat before, I see they make a sound deadener insulation that also helps with heat. I was thinking about using some on the passenger get side to help with how hot it gets right about the exhaust and cat. I think it might also help out the crappy a/c system in the truck. Anybody have any suggestions?

If you are just trying to prevent heat from the exhaust, I would use a reflective radiant heat insulation and stick it to the bottom of the cab above the exhaust. That will be more effective than insulation on the floor from inside the cab

Theres already a large heat shield there attached to the underside of the cab.
