Should I lift my 2020 Tacoma Pro

Nope, it’s simple. Want to upgrade suspension buy an OR. Want a Pro buy it and leave it alone. All the lights etc you listed do nothing.

And again, I have literally seen probably a hundred comments on this site wondering why anyone would get a PRO if planning to replace the suspension. All the other stuff is superficial. But maybe that goes with your style. If the skidplate and wheels are that important to ya, by all means, get ya one! I'm done commenting on this topic. I proved my point...

There's a thread with a list of all the Pro-specific parts. It is a long list and the total ended up over 10k I believe. Can't seem to find it anymore.
Is the stock Fox suspension a big part of the Pro package? Absolutely.
Was it the only defining feature that drove me to buy a Pro? Absolutely not.
As @Sharpish said, there are a lot of 'extras' the Pro comes with. When I was shopping for a 2020 TRD Offroad with the comparable Premium and Advanced Tech package features, the dealer prices were less than 4k off from a Pro. Throw in the Pro-excluvies and the sweet, sweet color and I figured it was worth the extra few bucks on the payments.

 

Then you came to TW and mentioned you owned a Pro.

It's entirely up to you but I just did a 2" Supreme Suspension Lift on my PRO and I am really happy with it. I went to a slightly larger 265/75R16 Toyo's.

 

I've been on TW since 2016 with a '13 Sport.
And, yeah, I love my Pro. Everything is better than my old truck.

 

Well sure, but that's because your old truck was a 2nd gen. Stick with one controversial issue at a time man!

 

Let me break it down for you.

TRD Pro costs about 5k more than the offroad model (if you purchased the vehicle with mark up, you are an idiot).

1. That being said, TRD Pro is not just about the fox suspension. Not to mention that you can sell these original fox suspension for pretty good amount and makeup about 1/2 of the cost of Kings.
2. It comes with TRD Pro wheels which is again, when you sell it, you get lot more than the wheels that came off of offroad or sport model. I've seen people selling it for about $1,000.00
3. On top of that, you get the leather seats which will cost you around $500 ~ $1,000 for aftermarket seat cover (without installation).
4. You also get the TRD Pro grilles which is between $120 ~ $380 depending whether you get the fake or the genuine.
5. Ridgid LED fog lights priced at around $500
6. TRD Pro headlights $400 ~ $1500 depending whether you get the knock off or the original
7. TRD Pro taillights $300 ~ $500 depending whether you get the knock off or the original
8. The fake hood scoops which only equipped on sport model. To get these on your offroad, it will cost around $1000
9. TRD skid plate which will cost you around $500 whether you get the aftermarket or the genuine
10. TRD shift knob priced around $100
11. TRD Exhaust system priced at around $500
12. Better resale value

This is about all I can think of but I'm sure I'm missing some.

Again, assuming that you did not pay the extra mark ups, I don't see why not!

 

Aren't the stock tires 32". Running 33" tires will only give you 1/2" of ground clearance lift, not 1-1.5". The lift is the radius, not diameter.

Somebody went and listed all the Pro parts and their OEM price. Can't seem to find that thread.

 

Stock on the pro is P265/70R16 = 30.6
255/85/16 fits and gives you 33.1

So, 2.5 inches bigger, and a 1.25 inch gain of clearance.

I too had no plans to lift my truck. Heck, as a Pro owner myself, at some point I didn't understand why you would swap out the goodies you'd paid for. Now however, I have plans to lift my truck with set of kings. Just like what you had said, after adding weights after weights and after handful of trail runs, I needed that extra clearance. The more and more I look into it, when all other pro parts matter to you, it's actually not a bad idea. Matter of fact, I can get set of Kings and set of new wheels and tires for 1/2 the price others pay for. Plus I have all the pro parts. That alone is well worth it.
