Buy some stealies....or some other black wheel.

If you don't get a good enough paint job done on them, they'll wear and look like major crap in a short amount of time. You're far better off selling your original unpainted wheels and buying something that's black.

    Homeboy's got jokes.

My family owns multiple rock quarrys, and operates the mining and trucking of said aggregates. I have been working with, on, and around Diesel Trucks and Equipment since I was 16. When I'm not driving my Tacoma I drive a Duramax. Also my beer of choice is "Diesel" (Budweiser). I was given the nickname by my friends and fraternity brothers in college, everyone calls me Diesel, I introduce myself as Diesel, it's my name. Why is my dads buddy called beaver? Or why do I know a guy named Dan whom everyone calls wally? IDK. That's just how it is.

If you (or anyone else) could find that walkthrough, I'd really appreciate it. I just tried searching for it to no avail.

I just want to gather as much info as possible before going for it.

    Thanks.

Ive got some steelies and stock 245's off my 09 taco 4x4 that have no blemishes and 20k miles on them for sale. Make me an offer. They'd look great black.

If u paint them, go with flat black or gettem powder coated. IMO glossy black doesn't look as good. i plan on painting my Moto 951 from gloss to flat

ok, thanks for the info. i emailed a local powder coating shop for a price qoute and he said my wheels probably already have a powdercoat finishso they would have to strip it for $125 then the 4 wheels to be colored would be $200. does that sound right? he said to bring a wheel in to see if it already has powdercoat on it.

I think i might just buy the steelies, i kinda want an 8 inch wide rim anyways to make the tire look a little wider and have a different offset to give my truck that wide stance. ya know. im running 31x10.5r15

that seems a bit high, might be better off buying the steelies and keeping the rims for a backup or sell them to help pay for the steelies, either way make sure to post some pics when your done!
