I'm putting in new bushings (Whitelines) and after cleaning up the inner eyelet where the bushing presses in I can see this hole that has the potential to bring in water. My metal bushing sleeves were rusted in bad and took a lot of effort to press them out. This hole is in the same location on the factory LCA and aftermarket NAPA ones I have. Can I plug this hole with JB Weld to keep the water out? There is a drain hole in the arm of the LCA just below this. 20230528_001523.jpg

I don't see the harm in it. You could also fill it with grease for the poly bushings you're putting in - just a thought

Why? Do you think water isn't going to get into your new bushings from anywhere else? Seems you're looking for the solution to a problem that really doesn't exist.

Actually for synthetic bushings.....your supposed to use pure silicone grease....

they sell 3oz tubes in most plumbing dept in hardward stores for about $7...

....or spark plug grease in those little packets at the auto store are the same.
