Looking for information on re-gearing. MY 2017 Tacoma TRDOR 4dr handles the towing of my Evolution E3 fine, even fully loaded with a quad on the front deck (about 4500 lbs total). But it could be sooo much better. I average 10mpg and about 3000 rpm on the flat roads and about 4800 in the mountains in Montana. I have heard the stories about the overdrive and the normal gears being so high, a Tacoma never sees 5 or 6th gear. I have also read that re-gearing will fix that and actually improve my MPG and reduce the workload on the engine. I read a lot, so, now I would like to read your opinions and experience. Nitro Gear?
