Should I Replace/Turn Rotors When Installing New Pads?

    3" SUSPENSION LIFT
    $300 inc parts/labour/taxes...too do all 4 pads at CT on my gf's car..the labour portion was $87 for the front and $87 for the rear...

    This is a great thread everyone has a opion on shaving and most think "the man" just wants to get a few extra bucks, I feel for the auto techs giving there professional opion just to get a ton of poeple shooting it down, if you are really intune with your car and want your brakes to feel perfect mile after mile, then you need to turn them, if you like to buy cheap pads then you need to turn them, do I turn them?? nope my tacoma likes if ruff it is no china cabinet I buy good pads and replace them before the rotors/drums get messed up.

    I am doing my car's on Monday. I replace rotors almost everytime (only time I pass on not replacing is if I failed to plan and didn't have them). I look at it this way, I am saving a buck doing it myself (DO NOT FORGET ANY SQUEAL COMPOUND or equivilent) and I LOVE STOPPING STRAIGHT WITH ZERO ROTOR RUNOUT :end rant:
