I've only had 2 issues with my 2017 TRD OR DCSB 4X4 that was purchased new in December 2016 with 2 miles on the odometer.
    1. HVAC Blower motor stripped out of the bolt holding it in (stripped itself loose) and was replaced under warranty, then replaced with the updated recall part when it became available from Toyota.
    2. Battery leaked acid from covers and was replaced under warranty with a Toyota 84 month warranty battery about 6-7 months after buying the truck new.

I've only put 10,058 miles on my truck in a little over 4 years so take that for what it's worth. (rarely driven and I have other vehicles that I like driving for different reasons). My only gripe is the wonky shifting habits of the auto trans which is a normal characteristic of the truck and a TSB update is available if I get around to taking it in to the dealer for the software update.

Having worked in the auto industry and having family members who owned dealerships I'm really not a fan of buying used vehicles, because it's impossible to know the true history of it. I also don't like the idea of the same dealer certifying a car that they are also selling. (Conflict of interest, doesn't always benefit the customer.) However, that's not to say good used cars don't exist. I have purchased a few used vehicles over the years due to my budget at the time. Some were better than others. :rofl:Don't let your emotions purchase the car for you. You'll know when you find the right vehicle.

2017, flawless history mechanically. But why such concern over one little recall. Certainly, you have had more issues with past vehicles than this.

It's listed as "remedy not available" because they are performing the recall in batches. They
have a LOT of vehicles to update. The 2017 Tacomas are currently scheduled to be updated in mid to late March.

You may have something in there. Never heard of ignition button not fully depressed causing stalling . I too have the 2017 BUT did receive a recall but no timetable of when it will be done. Haven’t received the second letter yet . So far no issues yet.

I wouldn't be too worried about something they have identified and are working on. I would be more worried about other manufacturers who know of issues are are not working on fixes lol. That was daily life owing a Nissan Titan.

I have a 2016 and feel like it has less problems then some of the new 2021's on here. It is all luck of the draw on these trucks lol.
