Should I supercharge my 2.7 at 270k?

    Waste of time and money. Bad idea for all the reasons previously stated and then some. If it’s just absolutely necessary that you have more speed and power then get a different vehicle.

    i have had mine for about 10k miles and i honestly havent noticed any oil burning. how come you dont think the rotrex shaft will last long?

    It's like building a house on a questionable foundation. It's not wise from both reliability and financial perspectives.......

    I normally would see trucks similar to this for sale on CL fairly cheap. A 2005 Tacoma with the 4cyl and 270k miles needs to be driven in it's current form. It has definitely served it's purpose and there's a great chance that reliability will not remain the same after adding a supercharger. If you have the finances and a 2nd vehicle to support it along with future repairs, then proceed. IMHO, spending more on the supercharger than what the truck is worth doesn't make sense to me.

    Just read about too many failures on here in the long term so i dont have much confidence in it
