I got a 2019 Cement color pick up and thinking about switching the grill to the TRD pro grill. Thoughts? I feel like the pro grill everyone has?

If you like it, do it. I love that grill...made the dealer include it when I got the truck lol.

I personally don’t make decisions about my truck based on what others think or say. I do it because it’s what I want. I think the stock grill is ass and the pro grill is killer. I have the pro grill. :D

Yeah, when I got my truck I should of made it part of the deal for the dealer to add it. To late now. Did you guys go with an aftermarket grill or OEM?

it does seem like every tacoma in northern california has the pro grill. BUT I do think it looks a thousand times better than the stock. picked up my 2020 last weekend. here it is with stock grill

got the repro grill from the taco garage with OEM garnish. works perfectly, no TSS sensor errors. also added white "raptor style" lighting.

    i like it!

Very nice! Thanks for uploading pictures. I actually reached out to taco garage about his set up. Just haven’t pulled the trigger but I can always keep my stock grill and switch it back if I ever wanted to. Makes me feel better about you not getting any sensor error messages tho. I like your look tho.

What does the wife think? What would Dave Ramsey do? What is the cart pusher at Home Depot going to think? Will this ruin my chances of getting a raise because Karen thinks I already make too much money since I have a "Pro"?

I actually like the stock 2020 grill. Couldn’t go wrong either way. Looks good!

Have you thought of just swapping the chrome surround out for black? I actually prefer the 2019 grill on the cement but the chrome surround had to go.

I was originally thinking I wanted to get a faux pro grill but after looking at my stock grill (which is all black) I like it, think I am going to stick with it.

Oh. Don't ask the cart pusher. He's a negative Nancy. Hence why he can only get a job pushing carts at Home Depo even though he feels the world owes him a higher pay for much less work effort. And the more he pushes carts, the more his insides boil.

    Ugh this again.
Listen, it’s YOUR truck OP. Do whatever YOU want and like. Half of us are still gonna drool over it anyway and rubberneck down the highway when we see you pass as if we weren’t already behind the wheel of one :D

When I ordered my truck I was totally convinced that I would do a 'heritage' grill swap.
Now that I actually have my truck, I prefer the stock one. It is way less protruding and 'tacked on' than the oem one.
It is one of those mods I might consider once I get bored with the look of this one.

I have learned from my many cars and trucks I've owned that it is best to just drive and enjoy what you have for a while before heading to the slippery slope that is called modding. Some things that seem essential and not and some updates you never thought of are absolutely necessary. For instance, my bed mat is the best mod so far, and it wasn't even on my radar while I was waiting.

I like the 2020 grill. I just got a 2020 TRD Sport last night and am selling the Pro grill I had on my SR5.

I'm probably going to switch mine out for a pro grill but my plan is to wait for the warrenty to be up first in case anything comes up that toyota has to fix to avoid a claim denial.

My opinion, don't be a poser, stock or anything else beside the pro grille. Everyone and their grandma has a pro grille.
