It’s a requirement by bureau of mines. Prevents runaway vehicles from killing guys underground. You can’t jump out of the way in a tunnel, and some of the tunnels have 30% grades or more. It’s mandated everywhere, even topside, so it becomes habitual.

Lol then tacomas don't have leaf packs. Leaf springs/packs is there a difference?

You did say pick up truck and in the context of this thread it implies Tacoma.

At least that’s how I interpreted it...but I’ve had several beers

I'm having a pointless argument about what constitutes a truck. 4runner vs ridgeline. Which of them is a truck? Clearly a tacoma is a big dick swinging, no argument 100% truck.

Except 3rd gens with 5' beds. Debatable.

    If it’s featured in Men’s Journal, it’s a truck.

I’m too dumb to understand this. If anyone can explain I’d be grateful (from
    the article):

I’m this context, I’d gladly take body on frame SUV if it means it’s not compared to a Ridgeline.

It’s like comparing the 4R to a Explorer. One is a body on frame SUV the other a unibody SUV built on a Taurus platform.

However...I will say that 3.something eco boost has some serious get up and go.

Truck vs SUV, apples to oranges, IMO. We have both, truck and an SUV and each is used for different purposes.

Well fuck, everyone went and got all bitchy in this thread.

Then the thread turned to Kentucky and Camrys.

    Shame on all of you.

I currently own a TRD Pro 4 runner and a TRD OR Tacoma. I like both. I use the 4 runner more for camping and the like, and the Taco gets used for daily tasks. 4runner is way more comfy for long trips, Tacoma is great for tasks around the house. It comes down to what you value most out of the vehicle.

Required in the US also. We're regulated by MSHA, which is OSHA with teeth and 'roid rage. Big fines can be had for a vehicle caught without chocks, or walkways not swept, or if you're able to slip a single finger past a machine guard.
