debating if I should trade in and upgrade. or just spend the money and get ARB front and rear lockers. right now the 2016 is totally stock except the pro grille, wet okole seat covers and nfab side steps .

is it worth it to have the offroad features compared to the sport?

No. Considering it is stock you probably don't off road anywhere you need lockers.

Lease it... seriously pay it off, keep the 2016 and enjoy it, don't keep taking the depreciation hit

Keep the '16 but still get the' 17. Then let them fight for your love like you are the child of divorcing parents. It's the only way.

I would say yes because it's new and it is the latest model Off Road Tacoma.
Maybe the 2016 3rd gen issues have been shaken down and you can have the second year 3rd gen.
