Just to add some closure to this thread, I thought I'd share a photo. I went ahead and traded my 17 SR for this 18 SR5, and I just swapped the wheels out for the wheels i had just put on the SR (put the steelies back on the SR before I traded it in). Got some mods planned but I'm pretty thrilled with it at the moment. Thanks for all the input you guys.

Don't get a Sport, cause then you'll just want to trade up to an Off-Road (especially since they are virtually the same price brand new).

I want to know where he's finding all these $4000 cars at that will run for several years. The used $4000 cars around here are absolute piles of shit and no you'll never sell it to someone else for $4000 UNLESS you sank $5000 into the car to get it to make it a year. He's very out of touch with used car prices and what you get for those prices. Not everyone is lucky to buy grandmas 10 year old Corolla for $4000 that has 50,000 miles on it when she passes away. No, the $4000 cars are being sold by the meth addicts on Facebook marketplace, or the shady as hell Big Bobs used cars where they keep "re-locating their lot" to stay one step ahead of the cops because they're running a chop shop on the side.

I'm pretty sure the SR5 is gonna keep me happy. But no, if I did want to go even pricier I would go OR for sure.

Ummm I have a Sport and I have less than ZERO desire to trade for an OR. It’s a lateral trade to me, not a trade up. And if anything, a waste because I’d never use the rear lockers or crawl mode.

I have a Sport because OR doesn’t come in Access Cab and Manual trans together.
