The moment you give up your 4x4 for a 2wd . . . you'll start kicking yourself in the butt.

Most of the time Pre-Runner guys step up to 4WD with a "I'd never go back" I'm sure it has happened but I've never heard someone step down and be happy.

Yep....Were all chevy fans here...lol But, I think your Chevy is nicer than that one particular Toyota. I would look at different Tacoma's.

i was in your same position.....but hold out man...you have a real nice silverado...first you dont want a 2wd coming from what you have now...2nd it has a 3in bodylift which isnt a good thing......i would keep your truck that you know and love untill you find a real nice taco that fits all your needs...coming from ur chevy you will be more happy i feel with a 2nd gen...i personally love 1st gens and in many ways more then my 2nd gen, but they lack inter space and do not ride as nice as the 2nd gens do...my 2nd gen is very similar to my chevys and alot tougher with out all the chevy squeeks(center console lol)....1st gen simple, reliable, great offroad...2nd gen is bigger, smoother, more powerful.....you pick but i would not settle for that 1st gen you found...welcome to the forums.....ps i spent 3yrs looking for the right tacoma and owned 2 gmc's including my duramax before i found her...when i did i traded the duramax for her

i love my tacoma, but avoid the bl like the plague.

I bought my truck, previous owner had a bl on it, then took it off. left nothing but problems.

well although thats not a deal breaker it doesnt help. we have a new altima that we take everywhere... Kbb on my truck vs the yota are pretty close thats what im mainly concerned with.. I drive less than 100 miles a month probably in my truck. i dont spend alot of time in in just looking for someting that will hold there value for the longrun i guess is what im more interested in.. What if i come from that angle?

If you want to buy one for better value in the future get one without a body lift, cause not to many people will want to buy it when you do try to sell it.
