In a nutshell..i traded my 2007 JK lifted on 37's for a DCLB TRD Sport this summer. 48K miles, Has a snugtop cap, leather heated seats, brand new ARB bumper. Got it for a steal but always wanted the trd off road version. Trucks been great..but its...long. Living in colorado and have a jeep i just kept envisioning all the trails i would now struggle on due to wheel base. That and the fact it doesnt fit in my garage!

FF to right now..Had a trade in ( i work at a dealer) 2012 DCSB TRD OFF RD in the same MGM as mine. 29K miles. Has TRD FJ wheels already. Good shape blah blah stock otherwise. It will cost $98 more a month..at a better % rate. I gain rear locker..a-trac..short bed..fits in my garage..nav..

So basically...is $100 more a month worth it? What would you do? I am an ARB dealer so loosing the bumper isnt that bad.. The gf isnt a fan of leather seats but the cap with windoors was great. ugggg..

    Im getting there......
How many miles on the dclb. Depending on your interest I would be willing to trade you directly....though as a dealer you seem to be all set. I like my trd off-road but I have always wanted a long bed.

Pay the extra $98 every month on the truck you have now! You will own it so much faster and then free up options: major mods (long travel, 6" lift, supercharger...), a new Tacoma (3rd gen by then?), or just keep it the way it is and save money. I respect that this is a truck forum and we all want what we want. But: it's almost never a good idea to trade in a car before it's paid off.

    Good luck!

Its your money do what makes you happy. On cold nights like tonight I love being able to put my DCSB in the garage.

If the short bed will work for you, and you want the locker and the truck to fit into your garage, I say go for it.

Spoonman is a great example of this. I have a dclb, and I just bought a dcsb to replace it.

If you want to trade it in then do it! I would recommend you do it since the DCSB is nice to park in town rather than the LB

If it makes sense financially, both in terms of not taking too big of a loss on the 09 and the extra $ per/mth. If not, sounds like the SB makes more sense for you. You would be shaving some miles and yrs too, so that's decent. Find out if the 12 has had any work on it (TSBs?). I doubt it but there's a bunch out there that would be nice to have had done whether big or small.
