I am looking at selling our Lexus IS F Sport at the end of the summer because I keep bending and breaking wheels in central Oregon where the roads are terrible.

I love my baby that I have over $52k in. But I go over the pass every month and cannot keep replacing wheels and tires.

I have had two tacomas and two tundras. Wife has the current 14' tundra.

I am looking at purchasing a new (18') tacoma at the end of the summer. And selling the Lex.

I would really like to know what models come with the cool LED headlight config, and blacked out grill. I am having a hard time figuring out which model I would be looking at. I also had the 06' Sport model with the hood scoop. And I liked it.

Any idea of the price I am looking at to order? and when I can do so in the fall?

PM me with details about the car if you're serious about selling the ISF, I have a friend in Bend that is looking for one.

Upgrading the wheels/tires to prevent damage would be a lot cheaper. And let you keep a $52k ride you love.

I like the way you are thinking about what you need. IMHO these are built for any shitty road conditions.

The other day I pulled into a parking space and went over the curb on the driver side. I barely felt it. I would have normally been mad at myself but I was actually quite impressed at how it took my accidental curb challenge. Any other car would have popped a tire. For some reason I'm still getting used to the size of this truck.

The problem with waiting for the newest model is that the MSRP prices seem to go up each year. Also you never know when they will force the smart driving tech down your throat...and what that will cost.

Don't worry I'm sure we'll get announcements of changes before they hit dealer lots, around the time announcements are made dealers will be trying to move more vehicles so great time to jump on 17.

Actually this is a good point. That's how I got my 2016...last one on the lot! They didn't want it sitting there after the new year.

The 2018 will have Safety Sense standard, but may also include LED headlights like the Tundra and Corolla.

Time will tell on the 2018 headlights.

Though I will say I'm still a youngen and when I bought my truck 17 back in 2016 and people asked what model or whatever they were like, "damn it's only 2016 and this man living in the future"

Ok, first of all, why isn't your wife driving the Lexus and why aren't you in the Tundra?
