Hello everyone, I have been lurking on this forum for over a year and I think I finally found the truck I want to buy. I put a deposit down on this truck today but want to know what you guys think?

Its a 2004 Prerunner with 85K miles and although its very clean, i'm paying about $12.9 for it. I know its on the high end considering its not a TRD with 4WD, but I don't necessarily need 4WD, I just want a nice truck and love this body style, ( I also own a GX 460 with 4WD...) Anyway I am too new to post in the classifieds, but I would be willing to do a deal on a 4WD TRD one (white or black only) sub 150K miles truck but as you know they are hard to find...

What do you guys think? Should I wait for a TRD or just jump on this one?

Where do you live? Because prices vary by state. How is the frame rust (if any) on the one you are looking at? 85K is really low mileage, so i don't think $12.9 is unreasonable for that truck if its in immaculate condition, no frame rust issues, no accidents etc.. It's not the best deal ive seen, but its not bad. I personally would rather have the 4x4, but it depends on the useage and I only have one truck no other 4wd vehicle. Maybe you can work them down a bit. For reference in California, a 2002 double cab v6 4x4 in white sold for $11,600 with 145,000 miles. It sold within a few hours of posting. I usually see $12-14K asking prices

Its a Florida truck, one owner, no accidents. So history is good, I have not yet gone to inspect frame but down here we don't really have any rust problems.. Thanks for the reference.

It is a nice truck, but that is a lot of money for a Tacoma that isn't exactly what you are looking for.

Well I bought the truck, aside from the few paint touch ups that look like they were attempted with a rattle can and a 5yr old, it's a very nice and clean truck. The undercarriage looks brand new I mean seriously so new it's scary... even the gas cap looks new, just a very clean truck. I can't wait to start a few projects.

Congratulations on the truck. Hope it doesn't have any surprises. Welcome to the site regardless.
