Ive got a Trail Gear bumper that has a light hoop on it that im thinking of removing. Reasons are that it gets in the way of my lights, Harder to park in the garage and harder to work on the engine. I want Tacoma World's opinion before i get the cutting wheel on it.20190730_170821.jpg 20190730_170908.jpg

If you don't like it, cut it off. They're like $40 for another one if you have second thoughts after the fact.

That's what I was thinking. I like the hoops myself but I'm not a fan of the 'prerunner style' hoop that sticks out forward like that.

Also I never thought about how it would make it harder to work in the engine bay, that's a good point and one I hadn't considered. That would annoy me too

I kinda like it. When you off road, it gives extra protection for those lights; which being KC are definitely not cheap.

Believe me it does give good protection but if I were to weld a new one it would be fully vertical 80's Toyota style.

Get one more to your liking .

    Just a thought .

Are you undecided that you had to ask ?

Just make clean cuts and then cut the angle off. You could reweld it vertical if you want.

I cut mine off and made one that followed the outline of the grill and was a bit more vertical.

It fully frames my lights now. IMO the height of the engine bay after lift & tires makes working on it more of a pain than the light hoop.
