Should my leaf springs look like this?

    Sorry, but no, it is installed correctly. Someone added an "add a leaf", and left the stock overload leaf in place correctly on the bottom of the pack. Reinstalling the overload leaf in the pack is optional after installing an aal. An aal if installed under the stock overload leaf would be rendered useless by the overload leaf. It would not be able to flex the overload leaf and provide lift, which is their intended purpose.

    With my avatar truck still in paint, I have been using my wife's Tacoma to haul firewood. It's a stock 2005 DC 4x4 with a hard tonneau so it doesn't hold much. Several loads so far with the bump stops about 1" from the pads (static) and making contact when driving. No idea how much weight but it feels like all I want to carry in the trucklet.

    Guilty as charged. The smaller add-a-leaf looked like an over-load leaf to me at first.
