I've always wanted to own an X-Runner, but I think Toyota should have also made them as a regular cab. What do you guys think? :)

That would be awesome if they did that. I would love if Toyota would do a single 4x4 with the v6.

I find it a little weird that Toyota made a regular cab 4X4 without a V6 yet made an access cab 4X2 with a V6.

The point is if the intent was a "sport truck" I'd think a regular cab would save some weight and will handle much better...

This guy from Guam built a 1st gen regular cab Taco with a 2JZ (a couple others here maybe) connected to a Supra IRS rear subframe. Could you imagine how bad ass that would be if Toyota did the same to a 2nd gen regular cab? I'd be happy just to supercharge the current Taco V6 motor... :)

Just a V6 in a regular cab would be nice.

No need for the queer body kit.

Same concerns were expressed last year over the "discontinued" TRD Sport package.
    They'll likely just rename it.
And I don't have a lot of faith in information from sources other than Toyota.
Just 6 months ago people were posting links to articles indicating an all-new engine and all kinds of changes for the 2014 Tacoma... including photos of the HiLux claiming a redesign.

No such information has been posted on the Toyota fleet support site.
