My wife is a Jeeper. We moved to Utah in December. She’s mad there’s a taco wave here and no Jeep wave. Perfect.

I drove my jeep last week, after getting it back on the road after about 10 years, and was waved at by another jeeper. I forgot that was a thing! I like it.

It's funny that on a Forum, people have such a negative attitude toward being neighborly to another person that they might encounter.
Even just walking in town or the store if someone nods or say good morning I'm more than happy to reciprocate.
I guess some people were were not raised correctly?
Sort of sad. What that says about our society.
Some people may want to reconsider their outlook in life? Or Not?

Hope you guys all have a Wonderful Day!

I guess it's lucky I live in Hawaii. "Life's A Beach!" "Live Aloha!"

I’m sticking with my “hell no”. Feel free to conclude that makes me a lousy neighbor and generally an unfriendly human being. I’ve had a Wrangler and rode Harleys, and while the obligatory wave is kinda fun and surprising at first, I don’t need some unwritten bro-code dictating my behavior. Chances are if you throw me a wave in passing I may very well return the gesture in earnest.

I drive mostly rural roads (about 60K miles a year) - I do not see many cars/trucks so I usually casually wave at most everyone ( I usually have my arm out the window). When I'm in major cities I do not - windows up and right hand on my pistol (HAHA).

While in Virginia, with my moms golf, some guy getting out of a gti told me nice car. I was confused cuz this car lived in the Bronx, def saw some mean streets. But in the end I told him to fuck off, mostly cuz of his attire. That’s right no waves from me for the guy in a polo shirt tucked into his short pants, wearing tassel shoes.

I don't wave at someone because we drive/ride similar vehicles. I apply the same to motorcycles. I will wave if engaged in a similar interest/activity i.e. trail ride with few others around. The notion of waving at someone just because they drive the same brand of truck, jeep, or even motorcycle isn't enough of a commonality. And for the guy who lives in Hawaii and casting judgment on everyone else - I find Hawaii one of the least courteous places to visit. If you are not from Hawaii - try waving and see what locals throw back at you.

    LMAO!!
Did you get the one finger Shaka? LOL!
I guess I'm looking at it not as what you drive.
But just common courtesy when someone greets you?
If they wave at me I have no issue waving back. Who knows at my age I might actually know that person but just forgot??

I'm pretty sure the #1 reason my wife got a jeep is that she knows that I wouldn't want to drive it because I'd have to wave at people.

    So my vote is no.

Same, occasionally pumping gas people would look at a mostly stock taco but feel like i mostly got snickering people with newer cars.

I’ll only talk to other Taco owners who pull up next to me at the gas pump ONLY if they have a Meso customs Gasshole. Everyone else gets the cold shoulder.
