I should look into those. I always keep a shovel in the bed of my truck. Years ago, a buddy of mine and I got stuck in a snow bank in the middle of nowhere. It was my dad's work truck and had shovels in the back. This was pre-cell phone. In about 15 minutes, we had the wheels back on the ground and drove out. I've carried one ever since.

 

I used a set of these quick grips from Amazon $11.99 and attached to my off-road jack

 

Thats good idea, keeps both on one side.

 

It's a lot easier to use a hoe to pull mud and snow out from under a vehicle, in front of or behind the tires and differentials, etc. than trying to lift it and pull it out. Both are useful. Tip I picked up from an old farmer who drove his 2wd truck more places than most Jeeps and 4wds will ever get driven.

 

Yeah, but ho’s always be talking noise and getting up in your business…

 

The look: Woman I work with says its a "scary" truck with the ax and shovel... Might be me she is worried about hard to tell.
