    I should look into those. I always keep a shovel in the bed of my truck. Years ago, a buddy of mine and I got stuck in a snow bank in the middle of nowhere. It was my dad's work truck and had shovels in the back. This was pre-cell phone. In about 15 minutes, we had the wheels back on the ground and drove out. I've carried one ever since.

    It's a lot easier to use a hoe to pull mud and snow out from under a vehicle, in front of or behind the tires and differentials, etc. than trying to lift it and pull it out. Both are useful. Tip I picked up from an old farmer who drove his 2wd truck more places than most Jeeps and 4wds will ever get driven.
