I wonder if these mounts would work:
    1. on the passenger side of the bed (my spare is behind the window until swingout arrives) without hitting snugtop
    2. with knockoff $60 Amazon traction boards (X-bull, etc.)

    Thanks!

I wrap the mounting bolt/pin with a wrap or two of electrical tape which tightens up the play at the mounting points enough it takes the rattle out. havent had any issues with people stealing any of mine (front or rear) "knock on wood" as of yet.

I have a smart cap with pre threaded holes so I bought two100mm long 8mm threaded rod and two plastic threaded knobs. Fits great and doesn't take up bed space

Toss them in a cabinet, lock the door, and call it good. never have to find a place to store them when I'm not out exploring, don't take up bed space, and never forget them at home.

They have a dedicated space in my flatbed.

Was still waiting for them at the time of the pic, but 2 pair of Maxtrax, a 4 foot Hi-Lift, D handle shovel, and an axe all fit in here, and I think there is room for either 2 more pair of Maxtrax, or a Rotopax style gas can.

Looks awesome. I have a question for everyone. My 2021 Pro did not come with a front bed rail (shockingly, it did come with actual glass in the windows but don't tell the factory about that or that will soon also be an "upgrade.").

Anyhoo, I chose to take a short cut and ordered a generic front bed rail off Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0848P3WG3?ie=UTF8&th=1). It bolted right in with no problems. HOWEVER, the t-nuts that work on the stock bed rails, are too small for this POS generic one I bought. Any suggestions? I've searched to see if there are specific t-nuts I need for this generic bed rail but all I can find is information that all t-nuts are the same size. I tried to bend the bed rail with a hammer but it wasn't budging.

That came up on the frequently bought together but I think it's the factory size

That’s the t nuts i purchased. They fit just fine in the Toyota rails but aren’t even close for the generic bed rail.

That sucks. I can't believe that rail had good reviews if the sizing is different. Maybe they sent you the wrong one

I'm using the OEM mounts on the tailgate for super fast/easy removal. The leashes get stuffed between the boards and the tailgate, a lock is applied to one mount.

Wow, did the math -- that plastic is 10 years old!

I'm liking this... Can we get a picture of it without the boards attached? Wonding how/what you mounted the pins to.

Are the pins sturdy enough to hold them when wheeling? Guess I didn't give the plastic enough credit. Any reinforcement on the back side?

Just your basic washers. Yes, they are plenty beefy for off-road use.

Guess I could have worded it better... I should have said are the pins mounted solidly enough to hold the boards while wheeling, but sounds like they are. Thanks for the info and pics!

I’m not a huge fan of how mine are mounted but it gets the job done. 1/2”x~4.5” pins up through the beside, with big washers and cotter pins. For the low price of drilling 2 holes and maybe 10 dollars worth of pins it’s efficient
