Don’t be a maniac, but also learn to let the front half of the truck pull you through turns.

Finally got some lowland snow in western Washington. Didn't last very long but was fun to drive in while it was around.

A ton of nuisance snow here. At least I can see and be seen in the bad weather with the new LED headlights.20210131_170304~2.jpg

I took off an air dam once
I didn’t go out to much in it, OEM battery died on me as soon as the snow hit here in Middle Tenn. Sure looked purdy though! :anonymous:

Slightly off topic, but what traction control modes are people using in the snow? I had the truck in 4HI with traction control on in deep snow and what a nightmare. It seemed better once it was off. Wondering if I should have tried 4Lo. Any thoughts on 4Lo with the locker for deep snow?

Push and hold the button for about 3-5 seconds.... turns off the “I can’t do donuts” mode

This is as close as I'm getting. No serious adventures yet, it still has temporary tags (thanks PennDot for being so slow...) I'm not as adventurous as the rest of you, it's the going to town in shitty weather rig.

Looks great, but dang I don’t think I could bring myself to drive a brand new $40,000 truck onto a frozen lake. Would the insurance even cover that if the truck broke through the ice?

it definitely is risky but it has been -10 to -20f for almost a week here. I've been on the lake with my moto during the winter many times and am very familiar with the weak spots due to underground springs. The day I was out there, even the sheriff was out checking the ice fisherman. I actually helped a young guy and his girlfriend who had gotten their Honda Accord stuck.. taught him how airing down would improve his traction even with a front drive car.

To be honest with you.. I'd be more worried about myself if it did go through the ice.. first getting out of the water and on to the ice and then not freezing to death by being soaked in ice water when the temps were only 20f. Don't think you would last more than 5 or 10 mins..
