Show Me Your 3rd Gen Limited

Here is the last picture I took of my ‘17. Line-x on the fender flares, debadged, bolstering 5100, ceramic coated, chrome Step bars, TRD CAI, and a few other minor mods. This was when we got to the new home after driving 1600 miles in 34 hours

 

Very clean looking. What did you do for the chrome strip on the door handles? I'm looking to get rid of the chrome but unsure of removing them to wrap them or leave on and plastidip. They are the last bit of chrome I have to eliminate haha

 

I just left the chrome on the door handles.

Eastaco19 - like the grill. What color did you use and how durable is the plastidip?

 

I removed them and replaced them with color-matched ones. Would also be a good time to add a smart handle on the passenger side.

Don’t forget your mirror signals, headlights and tails.

 

I used the matte black plastidip brand. My dip on my last car was like new for 6 years. That was the back of the car tho. Honestly not sure how the front will hold up. I have about 4000 miles on it now and no chips. It filty in the picture but I wash it by hand every week and it's held up fine for the last month. I'll keep you posted if I have any issues. I like the rustolium rubber spray as well. The finish looks a bit smoother, I just did my mirror covers with that.

 

What replacements did you go with for heads and tails?

Looks nice, did you remove the chrome from the door handle or mask it off on the truck?

How do you pop off the chrome trim to dip?

Thanks man. I did both. I had trouble getting a couple of them off so I just left them on the truck.

 

I took the entire door handle off and taped everything but the chrome off the I couldn't get a couple of them off and just masked it off on the truck
