Sorry for the late response. Love it. Burns very well due to airflow design. It’s lite, and easy to transport…. I could go on.

everyone i know that has one hates the fact that radiant heat is really limited, due to the double wall design. They said there were enough complaints that theres an accessory for this now, more money. Care to weigh in? I have no skin in the game

As far as this thread its great, havent been camping in a while but i grill EVERYTHING at home, can probably add some "why didnt i think of that" ideas.

Although I don't have an actual solo stove, I made my own as a weekend boredom project (same with my home made ammo can fire box).
    20220624_162931.jpg
Mine is smaller than the solo stove. I wanted it to fit in a backpack for clean transport and quick deployment. I could agree that it doesn't radiate too much heat out of the sides because of the double wall (i see that as a plus with a bowling ball of a dog as my camping partner).
    Warming by the fire.....
    20220531_202826.jpg

It absolutely puts off enough to keep warm on chilly nights. The airflow inside replicates a furnace and pumps heat out through the top.

agree to the Flame Control on the Cook Partner...the control valve should be way better for the price. Recent bought single burner SnoPeak 'flat burner', has great control of simmering levels, but no full blast. Can not get what one wants in one product,( maybe others have their favorites that do). I fixed a problem on the Cook Partner recently by placing heat shrink on the fiddly wires that supposedly hold the wind screens open, then put clothes pins on the outside of the wire. so far works good keeping wind screen in a functional mode when windy.

So far we’ve really just used our solo ranger for ambiance & s’mores but have definitely noticed that the heat goes mostly up. Good for warming hands, but not so much for feet to chest.
Just today saw the ad for the new heat deflector . At $125 on sale it’s pricey, but I’m tempted.

Biolite firepit is good. Only drawback is that the fan battery does not charge from the fire.

Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
Not just for overlanding, camping, tailgating or those sudden wife throws you out thank God I'm prepared moments, but anytime anywhere and providing roads ate flat amd smooth, on the move. Also serves as a good tool for heat shrink on wires and watching your dumbass buddy take a seat on the wrong side and not he's been trained like Pavlov's dog with every tailgate. Throws people for a loop from a distance seeing u put bacon on the tailgate where a second earlier you just dropped a bunch of tools on a mobile repair job.

Excellent observation. Yes, the lid has three functions- protector of the grill, workspace loss prevention and bcuz it's a yota which is Japanese, it can be used with an additional flamethrower of pure heat I hobbled together, a hibachi. Bcuz why not?

Wow. That's 70 to 80 amps of draw. Takes a whole lotta power to run one of those things thru an inverter.
