Not so far as I know. It's a standard ARE cap. Made of fiberglass. Seems plenty sturdy from what I can tell, but I haven't tried having aggressive, violent sex up there yet. I'll keep you posted.

Well my setup is not nearly as fancy as what some of you guys are using, but mines at a fraction of the cost. :p

A small military trailer with a RTT would be my ideal setup, one day....

I still need to get my gf to take in the bottom of it so it doesn't sag as much...

Two great set-ups, but that Northstar camper on the black Taco costs somewhere around $12K. It's a great camper but definitely not worth the price IMO.

Sorry for the delay....I was Camping...ha ha!

I basically drilled a small hole, enough for the Screw to gain traction, where I was going to mount the plate and screw it in. It is the only way I could see to do this.

The Bed Material is pretty tough and it has hold up.....I know is not the best solution and it probably belongs to the "There....I fixed it!" club......BUT.....I dig this rack and it is REALLY unfortunate that the manufacturers are not producing it for the Gen2.

I hope this helps whoever wants to install this rack.

I just finished my build a few months ago. Features two 3ft drawers and then large 3ft storage areas in the back. I'm really happy with it. Hope this helps you sell it to your wife haha If you're interested, you can see more shots of it on my blog.truckcampersetup.jpg

I'm wondering what everyone is using for a mattress on top of their sleeping platform. I built one recently and i'm looking for some ideas for a foam top. I'm trying to stay away from inflatable for ease of use and durability, but it's hard to tell what I need looking at various things online.

I'm currently looking at memory foam mattress toppers that I can cut down to size, but I'm unsure about the density of the foam and what is required so that it doesn't compress all the way to the platform.
