OK I figured it out and uploaded my pics. Hope you like it.

My current setup. I removed the tent this weekend and sent it in to have a new one patterned and made. Replacing all hardware with stainless, new latches and hinges, and redoing the bulb seal after I do a little gel coating and fiberglass work to restore it to all its glory.

Wiring the dual battery as soon as I figure out how to mount it in the first gen engine bay with USB and 12V ports in the back. Working on recessed LED lighting, putting a sink and folding faucet in the "kitchen" soon.

I sleep better in this than I do at home. Oh and right behind the truck in the first pic are some quality sport routes, if you climb, which is why we were there.

Thought I'd jump in here and contribute. Always refining the setup but this is working pretty well for most situations.

Looks like they did some updating to the tentcot. Are you going with the same idea for the Tacoma?

thats the plan. maybe ill get a bedrack so i can have more cargo underneath. i like the idea of being able to setup on top of the bed, or on the ground and still be able to use the truck for whatever. hope it works. RTT seem pretty permanent to me. they are heavy and harldy anyone takes them off. plus, they are nearly 10 times the cost of a tentcot.

Did you see the threads about using these as "RTTs"?

This is my setup. Works great for me. Base camp is all it is. I have done a 6.5" SOA lift to the trailer since this pic now. All the comforts of home.

Tundraconvert - Really good looking camp kitchen setup you have there. Great old school look EXCEPT for the propane converter on that awesome old Coleman stove; is that a 413E? Just bustin on ya a little. I really do like the chuck box and would love to see any other pics or info about it’s construction.

Dude I tried so hard to keep it OG. I bought every rebuild kit on the market for the white gas canister and watched a ton of YouTube videos on how to clean and rebuild. The thing will not hold pressure. I finally gave up and converted to propane. The stove was my dads and Old so I wanted to keep it original but not meant to be as of now. I forget exactly which model it is but 425 ish ?rings a bell.

Thank you. The camp kitchen is on the new side. My step dad is an amazing wood worker. I gave him some rough plans of what we needed and he went to town. He’s an engineer and salivates at projects like these. It’s a game changer when it comes to cooking in the outdoors, I love it.

Here are a couple more pics. Under construction, in use , and what it looks like when stored. I will see if I can dig up some more.

Thanks for the additional info and pics - Now I'm even more impressed with your camp kitchen! Very compact layout but looks to have everything you need for cooking. Weight? Please pass along an attaboy to your step dad.

Looking at the additional photos, I think you're correct with your stove model being one of the 425 series. The exact ID is stamped on the front of the stove to the left of the handle. I think these were first introduced in the late 40's and production continued at least into the 70's. This link https://terry-marsh.com/coleman-us-stoves-early-1950s-present/ provides a bit more info if you're interested. I'm not a collector - just a user who has accumulated a lot of Coleman gear over the years and has an appreciation for simple things that pass the test of time. The folks on this site https://www.colemancollectorsforum.com/ are the real experts and a great group. I'm sure they would gladly help you troubleshoot your tank problem and, if its not fixable, someone will likely have a used functional tank at a very reasonable price.

We just returned from a camping trip to the NC Outer Banks and I used a 413E someone on the forum gave me a couple of weeks back for out meals. I cleaned it up, replaced the seal in the tank filler cap, oiled the pump, added fuel, pumped her up and both burners fired up and burned smoothly. This stove is probably from the late 50's and didn't appear to have been used in several years. Nothing wrong with the propane setup you're using but I hope you can get your's back to white gas if you want to do so.
