    The shell cost me $1410

That was with install and after tax

    Upgrades were carpet
    Double locks
    Sliding front window (not tilt)
    Led light on the inside

All in all love the shell but unfortunately the dealer I got it from had to send it back for a few problems

Guess it was made on a Friday! Lol

That's a great price! I'm getting quotes of $1395 plus tax for just a basic ARE V series.

I got quoted $1220 for base shell no install then negotiated for about a week

Ordered it, it came in it was $1500 they gave me an additional discount because it took 4 weeks instead of 3

I just took the discount and went home with a smile on my face

Sad day...instead of getting it installed today I was told that my topper fell during transport (barged from the northwest) and ruined mine and the one below it. "It's just structural sidewall damage to the fiberglass, the front window is shattered, and the paint is really scratched. We can put it on your truck for now if you want." Looks like first week of February now, and I ordered on 12/2. I'm gonna have to fight for some discounts myself...:frusty:

What is everyone doing to seal the front corners of the bed from leaking?

My dealer (Ishler's) put color matched duct tape skirts over them. So far, no leaks. If they do ever leak, I'll bust out some black RTV sealant like I've seen done on other trucks.

I have not been able to find any information on the redesign. Does anyone know timing for the new release?

Just a few thoughts for you new canopy owners if you just bought a Leer. #1-Do not go through a car wash with it for the next 90 days due to paint seasoning, #2- Do not take Leer Decal off the rear window for the next several weeks or you risk scarring the tinted windows, i.e., taking the tint off. #3- tighten your clamps up after a week of use. They may be loose enough to get a couple of turns on 'em, and simply use some locker nuts to insure they stay tight. And drum roll please.....................I was warned by the Leer dealer to watch for leaks due to the bed seal. They try to caulk the crap out of the front open edges and along the bed but the edge of the bed is not like your old steel beds, i.e., smooth with no real seating issues. The dealer was emphatic about this and said bring it in the first sign of any leaks! All in all I've only had the canopy for a day but love it!

I have an are and they said the same thing about washing the truck. No high pressure for the first three weeks.
