Bump because I'd like to see other people's mods as well. Preferably something that doesn't require me drilling any new holes in the cabin.

People still use Maglites? Surefire or Pelican LED lights > Maglite.

yes...unfortunately a maglite is the economical route...even for the LED ones...plus they double as an impact weapon

Up until we got our new Polystinger LEDs...i used my personal maglite more than my issued light

thats a good way to get smacked with a 50mph maglite in the back of the head when you get in a collision

those batteries SUCK something fierce after you use it for a few years...upgrade to the polystinger LED and you can use the same charger

thats where i kept my in my truck until the clip broke

Yes... Mostly for clubbing people, lol. Seriously though, I carry one in my truck in case I ever need to hit something attacking me (dog or other violent small animal... never a person unless last resort because in that scenario we're both probably going to end up pretty messed up). For actuallly shedding light on things, I carry two Romisen RC-N3's which shine at a fixed 100 lumen output and a Fenix pd30 which I LOVE! Got the fenix for just under 60 shipped and the two romisens for 45 shipped together... I'm considering getting another fenix soon (love the variable modes), but I really want to try a surefire as well...

I've got mine mounted on the drivers side door panel by the speaker. I lined it up just right so my Weathertech's don't hit it.

    I'll grab a picture tomorrow.

Your head would still be traveling at approximately the same speed so its not like you were standing still and the maglite hit you at 50mph. But you make a good point that is maybe not such a good idea to mount it near the head.

Lost track many, many mods ago.
Mine is mounted to the left of the shifter on the floor. I'll snap a pic tomorrow in the daylight.

The sun went away before I could snap one but hope this helps anyway.

My aunt who owned a funeral home said a kleenex box in the back window of your car can kill you. Imagine what a maglite would do.
