Massive improvement over the stock knob, OP. I concur, the stock knob is a disgrace and Toyota should be ashamed for using such a part on TRD trim levels...

I’m going to polish my knob tonight. It’s got some scratches in it. May have to use some steel wool.

I’ve got a new knob made of metal! I suggest anyone over 40 years old to do so.

    Stays harder longer.

I went with smooth plastic though. I like to see it shine.

Etsy if I remember correctly. It's actually a pin, I just snipped the post off.

Swapped my TRD Pro knob for a classic TRD gray pool ball style knob this weekend (got it cheap during the 40% sale). Feel is different, still deciding if I like it better or not.

I used a grommet to hold down the boot, which works but doesn't look very good since it isn't wide enough to cover the entire collar. Need to find a grommet with a wider outer diameter or order up one of the 3D printed collar covers from 7r41lbr34k3r.

Did it really happen without pics....if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make sound?

Pretty much the same setup has been posted in here a few times already, but just to prove to you I did it I'll put a few pics up for you.

I meant the TRD 40th anniversary sale from earlier in the year where it was 40% off all TRD products from Toyota. Just hadn't gotten around to putting it on until now. If I had the original knob I would have replaced it sooner I'm sure, but I've actually been pretty satisfied with the TRD Pro knob so hadn't been as inclined to get it done immediately.
