If any of you ever decide to add a roof vent to your truck shell, it can be done. I did it a few weeks ago using a bit of 4" ABS pipe and vent cap. Fun project. I did a basic write up, detailed in this thread here.

    Interesting...
Curious to see how it holds up.
Going to look at a cap that's free!! Hope it fits!!! It was sitting on the side of the road and I didn't have time to stop the other day. Hope it's still there

I put this one one the street with a "free" sign, and it lasted for three days. I was going to fix it up but found a better one. [IMG]

Thanks Doc! Snugtop Rebel (with every option but rack) I haggled down to $800 on Craigslist and I've got a regular Rhino Liner guy that I see so he did the exterior for $200. Pretty stoked on it!

You'll notice that the Leer logo is crooked, I promptly removed it when I got home.

I debadged mine 100% all those LEER logos collect crap and eventually peel off anyways. Solved the issue ahead of time.

At some point I am going to debadge my entire Taco, maybe this next week or so. I love the clean look.

As a side note, the Leer is great quality and looks to be very well sealed against the rain. The Leer logo, however, I peeled off with my fingertips LOL.

Just got a shell for my 2014 taco; Snugtop cab high. Love it. Had one on my '91 GMC 1/2 for 24 years.

About 3 weeks for me too. The bigger challenge was the time they needed to install-about half a work day. I had to schedule it for a day when I didn't need to leave the office.

Wow. I think it took like 1 hour to install the Snugtop on mine.

Although now that I think about it, it didn't include wiring the 3rd brake light and dome light, which might be why it was so much longer in your case.

All depends the dealer and how busy they are. Here in Eastern Pa you make an appointment and it takes 45 min with hooking up the lights.

also takes 2 to 3 weeks to get it. Mine came in 2 1/2, but they are made in Pa.

In Colorado Springs it took Timberline Toppers about 1 hr to install mine, wiring included.
