I guess this would be the place to ask.... Just wondering how many of you are running a leer 100 series with windoors on a dcsb. If so, do your windoors fit the scribe lines on the shell? I have seen that some will and some won't. I ordered a shell through leer and it has been 10 weeks since order. I was told the hold up was due to windoor not being in stock. Showed up today and the windoor does not fit the scribe line. Anyhow, a little disappointed in Leer because I have seen dcsb's with the right size windoor, and for the 10 week wait I figured for sure they would match it up correctly. So, just curious on thoughts. I haven't had it put on yet...

So, I am looking to purchase a Leer 100XQ. With flip down front window, roof rack rails and keyless entry I was quoted $3,070 by the local Leer dealer.

I just found a white one like I want on CraigsList for *much* cheaper than 3K, but it does not have roof rack rails.

Does anyone know if its possible to install them? Does Leer just drill holes in the top and bolt them down at the factory or they make some kind of recessed channels where rails installed?

Leer installs Thule rails at the factory for $180 installed... i just bought a 100XR and that's what I paid. They also warranty against leaks. (BTW, total cost was $1800 with flip down, carpet, rails, and gear net...but it's an xr.)

You can buy the rails yourself (rack attack or other online stores) and install. Lots of DIY info out there online including where and how to mount.

I would do it myself but for $180 on a new cap (rails cost $130 set) it was an easy decision..

buy the used canopy if it's the color you want...way cheaper than new. Good luck.

Thanks, guys! I mean, with the money I save buying a used shell, I can get front AND back Pelfreybuilt bumpers! This sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Mine was $2,200 with out the remote, I did get the flip down front window, roof racks, cargo net inside roof. I think they are ripping you off. Any other dealers in your area. We have a lot so I guess there is competition.

hey guys im looking at purchasing a used Leer 180 topper with thule rails already installed and comes with a mountain bike rack. It's used and they're asking $1000. It seems like a good price, but wanted to see what you guys all thought. Is there anything I should be aware of or to specifically look at when I go to check it out?

    Not enough...

I just picked up a Leer 100XQ in excellent condition and matching my paint, with a front removable window for $1200. It retails for $2100+$200(i think) for the removable window. I did have to spend another $100 to get gas cylinders and 3rd tail light lens replaced.

Looks like 180 goes for $1300+options originally... I dunno. I, personally, would not pay more than $800 for that one. Shells do not retain their value.
