After looking at ARE Z series witch I really like but at $2399.00 plus tax and install my budget wont allow. So I started looking at the different options and came across the snugtop cab-hi shell . It is a lot like the Z series and a lot cheaper. $1623.00 out the door . Would post a pic but having a hard time doing so. What I would like to know from those how have and still own a snugtop is. How is the quality ? What kind of issues have you had and would you buy another one? Thanks in advance for your reply's !

That $2399.00 seems to be a very common price for the Z series around TW which I find incredible because I was able to get mine at $1950.00 OTD in October with a folding front window. Why such the price difference?? Maybe you such try a few other stores. Sorry I don't have any info on the Snug caps because the closest dealer was over 8 hours away...but I do love my A.R.E. As much as I like the A.R.E. I would have a difficult time swallowing that price as well...

Yeah I loved the one I had on my 99 Tacoma. That is why I started with A.R.E. when I began looking. But at that price I just can't afford it . This snugtop is simpler to the A.R.E. Z . I just don't know much about snugtop. I do know that they have been around a long time .

Damn Snug! creaping in our thread ;) = Kidding. Nice to have the manufacturer in contact with the user base!

Quick question without me clicking on the links. You have a Single handle rear glass, internal hinges with auto lock feature, Side Sliding WinDoors, Black carpeted interior, cab height shell with reinforced color matched roof?

I looked. The Rebel seems to have the majority of the options.

Correct. The Rebel does have a variety of options.

For what you are looking for: Single handle rear glass, internal hinges with auto lock feature, Side Sliding WinDoors, Black carpeted interior, cab height shell with reinforced color matched roof.

We would recommend the Rebel or the XTRA Vision

What's the difference? Both are cab height with OEM paint matched exteriors and both have the option for WinDoors.

The Rebel does not have a standard carpeted interior (but can be added) and a standard single Pop-Out T-Handle Lock.

The XTRA Vision comes standard with Carpeted interior and your choice of a single (no handle) Key Operated Lock or the cast metal PRO-LOCK. Both have the option to upgrade to a remote. The PRO-LOCKs Remote can be programed to the Toyota Key Fob, so it will unlock the tailgate along with your door locks.

    Hope this was helpful!

$350 Craigslist find. Off a 2010, so I assume it's 4-5 years old. Off-brand (ATC?), but the price was right and it looks great.

Picked up a Snugtop Rebel with windoors, I really like it. It's improved my gas mileage, and it's nice to have extra room for cargo that's able to be locked up. And best of all, I have an excuse to not move furniture!

Anyone have any experience with Century Caps? Have a chance to pick one up for $400. Similar color to my truck, it's the blue before my nautical blue. I'm going to research but curious if anyone has had experiance with one.

I had a Century on my last truck (silverado) and it held up much better than the truck by far.

Get a quote from Maaco. Should be even cheaper if you drop it off rather than be on the truck

Yeah, even at $300-$400 it's still worth it.
