What did it cost you to paint it? I'll have a hard time finding one in spruce.

Great job! I've done the same setup, as it stands right now the bed with cap and accessories is my favorite part of the truck.

Hw did you Adhere the lights to the top? If it was just the sticky back, consider taking some super glue and tacking it up there every food or so.

It was mostly just the sticky back, but I supplemented the corners with some clear silicone caulk

I cut out and removed the carpet before sticking it up, so the lights almost look recessed into the carpet.

Paint and the repair to the crack and the chips in the fiberglass ran me $800 :(
Still cheaper than a new top. The crack was spreading badly and fixing this top was my cheapest option. I'm at least the third owner of this shell, and it had collected a lot of nicks and chips that needed to be repaired. The paint may not even represent half my total cost

It was originally white. So white cap on a blue truck... It was a smurf-mobile. HAD to paint it

Leer camper color matched with liner and windoors. The dealer I bought it from swapped the Thule racks for 48 inch Yakima crossbars. I keep Yakima kayak stackers and for trips Yakima sky box. I did opt for whatever the heavy duty cap for the weight of kayaks. Yea I paid around 2 g's but for me it has been well worth it!

I just checked out a snugtop rebel at a local dealer. Standard side windows, carpeted interior, 12v light, and a fold down front window. They quoted me $1695 installed. Adding Thule or Yakima tracks (no towers or racks) would add another $150. Add CA sales tax to that and it's pushing 2k.
I'd love to score a craigslist deal but nothing so far. Might have to bite the bullet.

$150 includes cross bars? That's a pretty good price for a full rack setup.

No that's just for the tracks. They said they could do either Thule or Yakima. I'm not that familiar with either. would like something I can remove easily
