If you have more money than you know what to do with, or you use the camper a lot my money is on a custom made paco pad. They are heavier but are bombproof. A lot of Grand Canyon rafters swear by em.

Really like that cap! Nice choice. If I could choose again I would go this route. I'm getting a rear bumper with tire carrier soon and it's going to limit opening the back window unless the swing out carrier is open. I'd like to open the side windows to grab beers or throw bait in the bed.

OZ...measured this evening on a level garage floor. Before the cap same height at both ends of the pinch weld under the double cab. After the cap was installed, just under 1/2" lower in the rear. Here is a more level parked pic than the ones from the shop.

Looks Amazing on your truck and super functional. This is what I want.

Love the Windoors, your truck looks like some kind of Fighter Craft.

Are your side bed rails still functional with the ARE on? I'm trying to find a shell that will still let me use my OEM Bed Divider.

Nice find, I would have loved to gotten that model really. I hate the locking mechanism for my snugtop.

Man I want this setup so bad in my shell but have never wired anything and so far, haven't read anything dumbed down enough for me to figure it out. I've got wires hanging down from the rear break light on the camper that arent hooked up but thats all I know. I'd like to hook those up and these lights with a switch for the LEDs. If anybody feels like helping me, give me a shout!

It's super easy. I just wired up the light in my shell and added two LED pods a couple of weeks ago. I used this as a guide:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...t-install-guide-no-holes-no-wire-cutting.html
    I bought Avec lights here:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/buy-sell-trade/336748-avec-led-light-bars.html

Any light will work though. The pods came with a generic wiring harness that I used. All I had to do was run wire from the inside fuse box to the bed. Took about 15 minutes. I mounted the switch in the bed for now cause it was easy. I may move it to the cab later, but it's fine were it is. I used an add a circuit on the fuse box. Used crimp on connectors to connect the harness to the wire I ran to the bed and to connect the harness to the lights. Connected the ground to the bed. That was it.

I have been debating for ever. I had a topper on my Ranger (6ft bed) and it was a royal PIA getting stuff out of the bed and was more annoying than anything. If I would have had side windoors I would have loved it.

I love the bed rack idea but it rains 300+days a year in the valley where I live. Topper will be what I am buying. More security, DRY, and more cargo capacity for gear and dog and what not. If I go out for a long trip and decide I wanna hike up to a ridge line and camp for the night at least it would require someone willing to smash windows to steal shit rather than just grab and go.

Has anyone converted ARE Z series side windows to open? I have a plan to build some side panels out of aluminum, but would rather keep the existing window and frame. ARE does not make that shape window as a windoor.
