Hey i'm sure you've already bought the 100R since this thread is seven years old, but here are pictures of mine. I typically just keep it on in the winter but its great for camping too. I've also noticed paint rubbing off where the cap meets the tailgate.

If you don't want to add suspension, I would try and find a true 4 leaf pack. Or try and find what leaf Toyota uses for the TSB on the 3 leaf packs. I do not know what the leaf id is but I'm sure some one will chime in. I would think a 1.5" aal would be too much rake, not real sure.

Is it just Leer brand that have this issue with the rear door rubbing the paint on the tailgate ?

I really don't know why its rubbing so much, I never slam the door shut! Maybe it has to do with me living upstate, its cold most of the year but that wouldn't exactly explain why the paint is rubbing....

Passin' thru and haven't read in detail.
I've had LEER 100XL on for 5+ years.
My installer trimmed some of the rubber weatherstripping off the bottom of the rear frameless glass door.
IIRC the rubber makes contact with the tailgate cap now.
He said it would rub the paint off if left on.
    Don't think I have a picture, but I'll look.
See what's making contact and if it's rubber, you can trim it up with shears or utility knife.
    I understand it's a little late.

Only pic I had, and not what I wanted, but.......
You can see there's no rubber hanging below the bottom cross piece

Gotta Love that new Drag & Drop feature

So many options. Think about what you want your end use to be, then design (pick parts) of your suspension to match. You will spend less money if you do not "overbuild" your truck. But if you are going to add suspension, make sure you add enough to satisfy your end goal.

I would also suggest a replacement leaf pack vs. an add-a-leaf. You will get a better ride from it, and it will last longer.

Very true. It is easy to get swayed into stuff you don't need.
    Good advice. Thanks.

Have a 2009 with a small Icon lift, after 4 years and adding a shell the tail started to droop a bit so picked up a set of springs from a 2014 Tacoma with Toyo Tec AAL. Only cost was new U bolts and less then 3 hours of work. I smoothed out the ride ride, truck sits level again and kept a bunch of $$ in the wallet.
