Anyone have experience with Max Fit tops? Got a quote on one today from a local shop where the guy told me they are made my ARE. for my 15 Taco double cab SB he quoted me $1,400 installed with carpet, LED lighting, and a Yakima rack. Wanted to see if anyone had real life experience with them

V Series - tilt down slider - vented windoors - Yakima tracks.
Can't wait to get it set up and ready.
    :D

Added a set of Yakima racks to it. Great CL find (right time, right place).

Yeah. That set up that you have is what I would love to go with. Racks on both cap and cab.

If you do. You won't regret it. My dog owns my bed so roof space is a must. Very happy with my decision.

I really like how clean and bombproof they are. Glad to hear that the install was easy.
    Making my decision harder.

Can y'all fill me in on the difference between a 100R and 100XR Leer? And, are they both available with pet screen?
    Thanks-

Ordered an MX with sliders two weeks ago. I was hoping it would be here early so I'd have by this weekend, but no such luck.

Looks like the biggest difference is the XR has a frame-less rear window with a single 'palm' handle. The R has a framed window with dual t-handles. Basically the XR is a little nicer and sleeker. I was going to say that I like the T handles better in winter because you can get a little more ass on the handles when they're frozen shut but I see you're in FL so you'll probably be OK without them. Both do offer pet screens apparently.

So, I'm thinking of looking at a mid rise shell for the extra head room. If anyone has a mid rise and would like a cab height and is somewhat local, let's talk. My truck is white so obviously that's what I'm looking for.

Anyone have any pros or cons on going to a mid rise?

    Thanks man.
I've peeped the site. And I'm looking for owner feedback.

I'm also liking the Snugtop Rebel. But no dealer here. I'd have to factory order. I did that years ago on a hard tonneau. But for s she'll, I'd rather a dealer did the work.

My 100xr. No complaints so far. I had a very small amount of water leakage in the front corners between the bed and cap. Dealer had to redo the gasket and seal it up better but they took care of it. He said that's not unusual for the Tacoma because of the bed configuration.

My shell came in on Saturday. Love it so far, except for the fact the installer told me that I shouldn't wash (with soap) or wax it for 90 days. I enjoy washing my truck, so I don't know if I can go that long without a good scrub -n- wax.
