Your dealer will provide pricing on options and a quote for what you want. My Leer XR was 2K out the door with front slider removable window, interior headliner, and Thule tracks. And go to the manufacturer website for coupons and discounts.

I love my Leer 100XQ but I need to sell it. It is in mint condition. Magnetic Gray. Has front sliding glass option and clothes hanging option. Tinted windows that pop open and rear twist latch. Any questions let me know. I'm asking $1,000. Retails new for $2,400.

Have an opportunity to get a Leer 100xq for $750. Not paint matched. Should I do that, or softopper? I'm kinda torn.

Do you really NEED the flexibility a Softopper allows (stowing away when not in use, etc,.)? If not, they don't really offer anything attractive besides a low price point. At $750, a hard shell is a lot better of an option IMO, for MY situation.

Which fits best into your life?

I don't ever really pile stuff in my bed higher than a shell would go. I mainly want it for the looks (they look great) and for camping at some point. I don't really NEED a shell, but they look great.

I was in your shoes too for the same reasons. Almost bought a Softopper last year and didn't because I really wasn't sure canvas was what I wanted to deal with, as far as security and long term durability.

I held off, and got a hard shell posted a few pages back for $700, with a roof rack. Much more capability and durability than I'd have gotten with the less expensive Softopper, at a cost of storage options (I have nowhere to put it if I want to remove it for some reason). I love the look of Softopper's, but I think that is largely aided by the trucks they tend to ride on, which are pretty modded and badass looking. A Softopper on a stock truck isn't nearly as appealing, something my eyes noticed when my mind didn't.

Another reason I went for a hard shell (used) is because they maintain a higher resale than the soft tops do, so far as I have seen. I'd think that Leer could be used for a couple years and sold for not much (if any) financial loss, unless it gets damaged. Something to consider as well. You could always buy the hard shell and resell it if it isn't what you really like, and pick up a Softopper later.

It's much easier to find a Softopper (even used) then it is to find a hard shell for a good price, at least in my area.

Already taken care of. They gave me a 100% refund including the installation. I ordered a Leer XR on Saturday.

Here is a picture of my snugtop. Was already on the truck when I picked it up. No leaks, all seems just fine and proper.

Oh I know. They're hard to find, I looked 2 years or so and found maybe half a dozen for a short bed. Compared to long bed shells which are always a half dozen deep any day of the week.

Short bed shells were always way more expensive, too.

Yeah I came real close to buying that one..i guess i might have bid against you. By the time he came down to the price I would have paid, the price you paid, i had ordered my new one. I wasn't paying 29k for it.

Can you tell me the brand on those rock sliders?

LOL that is funny, I do not think i ever actually placed a bid on ebay for it though. The auction had ended with no sale and I contacted him via the forums here. Yea it is a steep price, I paid him 27k but for my out of pocket I will have paid ++some more since I am young and asked the bank for the money.... for better or for worse... I love my truck, though I do frequently get the new truck argument.

The rock sliders are made by all-pro, i am pretty sure they are the apex series extreme duty with the fill plates.

I think I'm gonna pick up that leer XQ tonight. For $750, I think it's a good price. Needs to be painted to match, or I may bedline.
