I love how my Rebel looks, but still not terribly pleased with the finish on the edges. Pencil eraser size chunks of fiber glass are starting to flake off from behind the rail and there's more fibers hanging below the rail. Haven't contacted the dealer yet as I won't even have time to make the 2 hour drive until August. I emailed Snugtop and never got a reply so I think I'll give them a call. They must not have much of a presence online.

Anything and everything. I haven't seen anybody else with it. Frees up space and makes the bed more useful

Interesting. When I was looking for a shell, I was told by Leer that these are only an option on full-size trucks and Tacoma owners are SOL. Did not realize that there is another company that makes these. Good place to transport guns.

How badly does it obstruct the view out of the back?

Yeah, buried on this thread somewhere. That one was the "Leer Locker".

I don't think I even use my rear view mirror with the cap on. Might as well remove it... Is that legal?

Because of the storage bin or because of the cap?

    Question here....

My shell barely gets any air circulation and I always have wet towels in there after drying off my dog at the beach and it starts to smell like mildew overnight, so I have to air it out all the damn time. Most of the time I just open my garage door, open the back of the truck and let it sit like that for an entire day. How do you guys keep your shells from smelling? Are there huge silica bags I can buy or something? Any other ways to get rid of moisture quickly?

    Hey littleblue81,
It doesn't really obstruct my view much. it tucks up nice to the top of the shell.

Try a wet dog... That dog could find a puddle in the middle of the desert.

^ i just don't use it with the cap on. One of the work trucks I drive is a dumper and it doesn't even have one. You get used to it I guess. Camera for hitch and sides for everything else.

I do, but I also have BedRug carpet liner and sometime I have to run errands after the beach, so by the time I get home it already stinks. I would place them in a plastic bin or something, but I can't use a brand new towel every single day, so I need this one to dry.... Maybe I should just find some way to hang the towel high and drive around with the back window open...

Tight bungees may work as a close line to throw the towel over. Hang some air fresheners on it as well?
