Its because the 100XL windows are not normally sliding from the factory so the guy who ordered it new ordered it with sliding windows, instead of the flush mount tilt out windows.

I would suggest going through at least 100 pages of this thread to figure out ballpark of what you want. Makes/models etc. Once you figure that out, use a craigslist pro app to find a shell in a bigger radius than what youre looking at now.

    See my build thread!
XTR tubes are about 1" taller than the top of the rack crossbars.

Anybody have their Leer 100XR leak water near the front? Mine is...

I'll take pictures tomorrow but you should take your top off and silicone part of your stock bed. I went to the Leer dealer and he said I should do this before I came and got my shell installed. 99% of Tacoma owners complaining about front leak is because of the design of our bed... theres a gap where plastic and metal meet giving a lip/groove for water to run in.

Yep. Dealer has tried twice to fix it. Silicone and putty both. It's an experienced dealer. They said Leer said some Tacoma's can't be sealed. They are going to refund my money. There are several suggestion in threads here and members have been able to waterproof them.

Found this ad a few weeks ago and I was wondering if someone here knows the model?[IMG]

It is 5 years old now and the guy is asking 1200, obo.
I am not a big fan of shells that are not flush with the top of the truck but there isn't a lot for tacoma in my region and I don't thing my snowblower would fit in a flush top one because of the high handles...

I will make a search through this thread to find AC wit caps like this one but if some folks want to post them again it would be nice :p

Edit: can a roof rack can be added to this top even if there is no rail on top?

Not sure about the rest of your questions, but I AM pretty sure the rail you're asking about is part of the roof rack, depending on the roof rack kit you purchase..

yeah... after reading again myself I see that I miss the point of my own post... haha
I would like to know if this shell is a great deal considering the age (only 5 years) and the price (1200$ CAD). I also wanted to know about the roof rack but you answered already.

Finally, I am actually going through the thread to find some AC taco with this model to see if I like it because my mind was pretty set on a flush top one but one a little higher can be more useful. Just don't want to look at my truck every day and find it ugly haha.

I can't get the best pictures but here's the idea- it down poured like crazy for one of the first times since I installed it and I have 0 water inside. My shell also isn't Leer at the moment it is Jason with a very cheap foam between the cap and truck, not the double bubble that Leer has.

Basically you're sealing the end of the rail to the metal bed and filling that crevasse.

KaptainH Thanks for taking time to take pictures. I have silicone and putty there. Still leaks. I'll make sure that they make sure it is done this way on the next cap. As far as I'm concerned caps shouldn't leak.

Here's my new A.R.E. CX series. My Yakima rack is on it's way- I already had most of the parts and just needed new Landing Pads for the rails.

Just got my SnugTop, great looking but for the money attention to detail is horrible. I wonder if any company out there takes pride in their set up???? Rubber gasket had rips, rear Snugtop logo was crooked! Looked like a 5 year old put it on20151231_093251.jpg

Edit: the quality is real nice on construction and fit
