i have not had water coming from the corners, my installer did a real good job. he use a puddy like stuff that keeps it dry . it does not leak when it rains, only when i run it through a car wash. it gets water from up under the bed cap, i will pull the cap off, then pull the bed rail cap off, run some silicone under there and reinstall. i do get some water at the tailgate, only when run through a car wash. i tell ya, keeping the water out 100% is hard.

I'm finding out now after I spent a bunch of money and waited 2 months (was told 2-3 weeks). I just went back to the dealer, she'll is off! They will see how Snugtop can fix all the problems with back door not seated right and some bad craftsmanship and jagged edges where they cut the rear door trim bad enough to cut yourself on. The end roof rack caps are also riveted on so I can't take them off unless I drill them out to put my roof rack. Now tell me who built this was using their brain20151231_163133.jpg 20151231_163122.jpg 20151231_163200.jpg 20151231_163218.jpg
Just a few pointers for you guys not to miss when inspecting your "brand new shell"

That's crap work, and for those prices, rape. Glad you stuck it back in their faces.

    Whole lotta stuff
Its raining like a banshee here in CA, so sure enough the used shell I have is leaking too. Looks to be from the front recess area of the bed, but I'll have to inspect more to see precisely where it is leaking from. The previous owner said the dealer he got it from used a big tube silicone to seal it up front; don't know if I'll go that far.

Here what my dealer used even though it still leaked 20160106_165840.jpg
At least if it was used and didnt pay $3,000 I'd put up with it and I'd have the patience to deal with it

That doesn't look like it's in exactly the right spot.. Lift up that foam and you should see the culprit is a little channel right underneath where the silicone is. .. Also it looks like it is going to come through underneath the bed rail and between the foam. The foam is basically lifting the bed rail up to let more water slide through.

Go buy some double bulb seal and use that. You can buy it online at Amazon and other retailers. Good stuff!

Happened to me too. The labor involved in making the shells is shit. I bought my A.R.E. in 2012 and I made them replace the side windows because they both had bad defects. Deformed frames, double rivets. Both side windows were replaced, and then one of the replacements was replaced.

Look at this double rivet on the outside of the frame. Shit labor and no oversight. Who does that?

I talked to one of the managers at A.R.E. in Ohio, and they don't even make the frames, theirs were outsourced. :(

Here is my shell. Love it. Will be four years old come this summer. One of the best truck mods.

I also have a problem with the fact that my dog likes to chew the wire. So I continuously have to repair it. Any suggestions on how to dog proof this wire?

:D I've thought about it. I know there is a market for people who want quality. On my shell the one thing that is near flawless is the fiberglass and the paint. They got that right. But they definitely went wrong by outsourcing the windows. No quality controls.

Whenever I think of my struggles for quality I think of this little choice matrix.

Pepper spray it(the wire not the dog). Or rub hot sauce on the wire.
