Consider a used one. I think you were saying you were having trouble finding one in your market, but you can save a ton of money, and you can do a little TLC yourself at lower cost and better quality. That's the route I've taken. It's a slow route, but I'm on it.

Alternatively, order a new one, and inspect the shit out of it before acceptance and paying the balance. Refuse delivery if it is shitty.

Or flip your trailer upside own on the bed of your truck and use duct tape.

It's crazy to see all these company are still in business, I could see if you were paying $500 for a basic shell and $1200 with all the bells and whistles... thank you would settle for fast food type of work. I'm not sure on what to do with my shell, I called my credit card and put a withdraw on the funds in the mean while till either they can fix it properly and we can agree with a good working shell or maybe cancel if their goga give me a Mikey mouse shell. The dealer who has been helpful with all they can be is stuck in the middle which sucks but then again I've been on this road with other purchases and didn't act to resolve it right away and all the promises maid were worth nothing in the end.

Example: before going to aftermarket wheels which I wasn't informed by the company who I bought them from that Tacomas are notorious for having vibration issues when you go with non hub centric wheels and the flat seat lugs. After about 4 times or more they got them 80-90% and then they tell me that that is comom. At least they look good minus 10% -15% drivability20150625_195825.jpg
Edit: Their excuse was that they are MT'S but I know the difference between death wable type of vibration and nobbie tires

I am looking at the same canopy. Did you get tool boxes for the sides? If so can you please post some pictures of the tool boxes, inside the bed and inside the box? Thanks.

I don't have the shell in my possession since its been removed for some problems it had! Dealer took it off to send back to the manufacture to see about fixing the problems. I did take a couple of pictures before they removed them, boxes are very room and set up ok, they are very flimsy so if you plan on putting real tools or stuff in them it's probably good to dynamat them on the inside of the camper side and put some maybe carpet inside the boxes so they don't rattle. Since the boxes are pretty deep it takes some room for inside storage but that wasn't a problem for me since I don't use my bed for much anyway! 20151231_121346.jpg
Edit: Just make sure you do a good quality control before they even put it on, I was too excited when I seen it because I liked it so much to pay attention and to inspect it for problems! Who thinks of having major problems after waiting a month to get a "custom" shell and " best brand on the market" ( was told ) Then once it was on I seen all the problems and bad craftsmanship

Great thanks. I will be using the tool boxes more for hiking gear that I don't want sliding around in the bed, so not a lot of weight will be in them. With the problems you are having are you regretting your purchase of SnugTop?

Not necessarily that I got snugtop cuz they are pretty shells but for the money I wish I waited and got a used at a fraction of the price. I haven't seen used work shells like the one I got with side toolboxes... yet. But you can find used at about $600- $1000, sometimes even get lucky and find under $600! Then I'd be OK with putting up with all the imperfections, problems and leaking because I would know I'm in it at less than 1/2 the price

Id still get one. it was single handedly the best decision ive made since buying the truck. the shell does its basic job (keep water out and allow me a place to sleep when camping) but the installer and manufacturer just suck at their jobs. ive had problems with mine but it was all the installers fault (they suck at their job and couldn't align anything properly so the back glass wouldn't stay shut no matter how many times I took it back in). I just found a good installer and they solved the problems in under 45 min. id say if you find a good installer who gives a damn about the customer, you can work with him and you wont be unhappy at all. I love my cap!
