Another TW member posted pictures of his ARE CX showing that it is installed above his roofline by about 1 inch. Yours looks flush with the back of the cabin top. Is this correct please for your installation?
    Thanks.

I have a question. I've been pouring thru CL everyday and see ALOT of shells that say they are for 6' beds but other brands of trucks. Such as Dodge/Ford even Toyota Tundra's. My question is this. Will any of these fit my TRD OR long bed? I'm in Texas so 4-5 drive I can do but not if it won't fit. Windoors is a must color not so much. Looking at all brands. Any suggestions?

In my search I was also looking into that as well. What I learned was that nothing really was even close. Mostly because of the height of the cab in comparison to other model vehicles. Also the closest to our trucks bed lengths was the Frontier but the cab is more than an inch taller than ours and it has about an inch and a half shorter bed too. Keep focused on the prize, took me more than a year for mine to pop up and it was another member on here that found it for me in an area I hadn't even thought to look. Best of luck in your search!

That could have to do with the type of rubber seal they use when installing it. A friend of mine and I have the exact same shell and his sits slightly higher than mine because he has a different seal between the shell and the bed rails. I also have had mine a little longer than him, have a rack with a RTT, and 3 clamps on each bed rail (6 total)..... so mine may just be compressed aswell. Just my 0.02

I got mine done for $150. I first had a pair of rock sliders done there and did a nice Yelp write-up after. Unbeknownst to me, my Rhino Liner guy was stoked on it and said it brought in some good business for him. So when I came back to get the cap done, he hooked me up. But he would've done it for about $250 at full price, I'd say. It's a pretty simple masking and spray.

Thanks! I've got a scuffed up used snugtop that's black on my impulse red truck. I'd really like to do this, it would look way better than it does now.

For sure. It's tough as shit and looks good. Becomes really flat black after a couple months. Or you can use any kind of bed liner/trim restorer to keep shiny if that's your thing. Good luck amigo!

Thanks for the reply. I'll just stick to Campers specifically made for Tacomas.

Lol, I wish.. It'll be a while before I'm in Cali again. But that's an awesome price. I'll just keep looking in the area, I should be able to find someone here in DFW..

Someone can confirm if a shell from a ford ranger would fit on a Taco? Parking next to a Ranger would make me say no but still wondering....

    Thanks :p
