Could build a platform and throw the spare under it. Moun the hi lift to the rail using of of the various mounts available out there and then throw the snowboard up on top so you don't have snow and moisture in your bed area getting everything else wet. Or suspend your board from the ceiling of your shell using nylon webbing. There are 100 ways to do anything. Just gotta find what works for you. I personally wouldn't want bed bars cutting my cargo space in half but that's just me

Yes it fits inside my snugtop, just rear of the first cap bolt. Sits about a foot back from the front of the bed.

Hmm I didn't think that would fit. Is there any sagging in the track system once you put some weight on it? What is the clearance between top of basket to roof?

Yeah I already have it mounted with a relentless bracket. Cant suspend from ceiling due to not having a rack system on top of my shell, plus want a full size pare and cant fit under truck due to all-pro bumper.

There is about 16" from the top of the rack to the roof, basket is 5" deep, so I can fit alot of stuff in there. There is no sag in it at all, I don't have alot of weight in there, maybe 50lbs, but I think I could put more before it would sag, The basket is real stout, I keep tools and recovery gear , air compressor, stuff I don't use alot.

My ARE Overland top should be finished in 1 week and installed the next. Freakin excited.
I really like the black coating to reinforce high stress areas. I think it'll look really good with the black overfenders on my 16' Off Road.

This past weekend reminded me how much I love the cap. Only thing I couldn't do without.

For someone who has installed yakima tracks on a shell - do I want plusnuts or capnuts? Advantage / disadvantage to either? This is going on a 6 foot snugtop. I'll likely go with the 60" unless you think the 54" would be better in this situation

    Thanks

No idea, but before you buy the Yakima tracks look at the link below. Worked perfectly for me with my Thule rack and it's a lot cheaper than the Yakima tracks.

Looks pretty good - and about $70 bucks cheaper than what I was looking at. Any drawbacks to these that you can tell?

I have never the name brand tracks so I have nothing to compare the Proline tracks to. With that being said, mine function perfectly. I've been using them for about one year. The tracks have a gasket on the bottom side for weather proofing, and I put a small bead of silicone on the bolt holes. No leaks. I would just ensure that they are compatible with your rack.

go ahead and bolt some unistrut to your cap then - you'll find out quickly that not all tracks are made the same

I'm actually using unistrut to build a custom rack for my cap. It should be mounted up on Wednesday hopefully.
