This is correct. My shell is still waiting to be delivered, but I ordered a Leer 100 RCC with Thule tracks pre-installed, not Yakima.

Cap on it...looking to do alot more soon
Hi there. First time posting here.
I am getting ready for a long commute from British Columbia down to El Salvador and Nicaragua for work. I will driving back down here in mid to late June. I have a Leer 180 mid rise on my truck right now with thule tracks and racks. I don't have the trailer anymore....warranty nightmare.
What I would like to know is why more people aren't running ARE DCU canopies like the photo I have attached. They seem ideal for overland travel and easy access, tarping, increased weight carrying capacity, increased interior space for beds, lock-up-ability, etc etc. I am strongly considering swapping my canopy out for a similar model. Anyone have information to convince me this is a poor decision? I appreciate the advice.

I think the only downside is loss of mpg from increased drag and weight. Other than that it's personal preference. I don't like the toppers that rise above the cab.

I chose the Leer 100 RCC. It's the "contractor" model over the 100R. It gives me up to 400 pounds on top ( not that I will put that much up there ). For me I wanted same height as the cab so if I decide to put a rack on the cab it would be the same height for the full length of the truck.

Yes they are. When you install the tracks just make sure that they are the same width apart from front to back.

You are correct. Thanks. Got it backwards. The rest of the information is correct that they are interchangeable as far as mounting the feet.

Which canopy should I go with. I got it narrowed down to 2.

ARE X series Side Windoors, drop Down front Window, roof rack tracks only. Comes standard with carpet roof and 12V LED light. Price $3,050 installed

    or

ARE CX Series Side Windoors, drop down front window, roof rack tracks only and add on optional carpet roof. Price is $2,750 installed.

Truck is 2011 DCLB. Any pics of trucks with the X Series. Can't seem to find much of them. Thoughts?

Windoors are awesome. I would opt for those over a sliding window every time.

I had my Leer 180 off for a few weeks so that I could repaint it...I now appreciate it that much more.
I live in a relatively urban area, and not being able to leave stuff in the bed was a pain in the ass.

Just got my ARE CX installed.

I got home and noticed these scratches. Not a huge deal, but let's say I just purchased a new vehicle - that definitely wouldn't fly. Oh well, the rig isn't meant to look pretty..

I would use some touch up paint, did the sharpie before on a cap I had, looked purple. The paint will last longer, hold better.

Picked up this Leer this morning. I am very pleased with the fit! I will get it color match this summer but for now it doesn't bother me very much

I was wondering if someone here has a ceiling net in his shell? if so, how does it hold inside?
