Just want to post a DAC camper tent on my Access Cab with a Leer 180 camper shell. Campmoor has a 20% off coupon, plus free shipping.

An important heads up - this is the DAC camper tent intended for a full-size pick up truck. So, it is a tad on the baggy side.

I'll definitely need a step ladder to enter and exit the camper.

Another couple images of the Leer 180 shell on my 2015 Tacoma Access Cab.

@OldandSlow did you need the full size DAC for the taller 180 shell, or did you already have it? I'm intrigued by these - low cost especially - but may move from a cab-high to a taller shell someday, and would like to be able to keep using it. Are you happy with it?

Dman - I read the reviews over at Campmor and one of the reviews stated that the smaller size was too small for a 2nd Gen Tacoma - and - the full size was too large.

So, knowing that my Leer 180 was a Hi-Top relative to a normal Cab-Hi, I took a $120 gamble on the full-size DAC camper tent - and - it worked out fine. I just received it on Friday.

Dont think they are man. The bed height is a bit higher on the 3rd gen making their caps a bit shorter. So it wouldnt be even between cab and cap.

Conveniently this section lists the hardware you need, I used standard not metric, I forget which size but there is one that matches the metric in size
I got all stainless hardware at home depot, but you could definitely just buy stainless buttonhead bolts and then zinc coated washers and nylock nuts to save some dough as the screws are the only thing that a. touches the aluminum and b. is exposed to the elements

So some LEDs burnt out on my brake light for my snug top rebel. You have to replace the whole unit. Got it on eBay $32 every where else $60-$80. It is a bitch to get the light out. It has a 2way tape / gasket and 3 bolts. It's easy to take a lot of paint off if your not careful. I had to touch up thinking it would look bad but it came out pretty good.

Did you seal it on the outside? My 3rd brake light was leaking, so I took it to the dealer and he resealed it and tightened up the bolts. Some sort of clear RTV around the light on the outside.

    Not enough...
So I bought a used Leer 100XQ when I got my truck. It needed new gas cylinders, so I bought a couple. I think they were 28" or something like that. They were kind of short and did not lift the back window high enough, so i've lost count how many times I walked into that thing.

Now, a year and a half later, it seems that I need a new set. Does anyone know what the maximum length I can use on Leer 100XQ? And is there a kind that will last for more than year and a half?
