Yeah, the towers (that go in the tracks) were something like a $400 add on. I figured I could find them cheaper elsewhere.

I had my shell painted to match my truck and reinstalled my yakima tracks. 2 out of my 3 dogs approved.

image.jpg image.jpg So just thought I would share some pics of my shell since I'm asking questions, but I seem to have a problem with my shell sliding back a little bit when I'm off-roading. Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?

Maybe take a look at the seals. If you're using the foam tape, maybe try the rubber bulb type seal. That's what mine uses, and I haven't had the issue of the cap sliding back. If mine does slide, I'll probably put a rubber sleeved bolt through each side, similar to what you use to install a trolling motor on a fiberglass bass boat.

I do but that is just a hassle. I was thinking of making some metal plates to go over and under the bolt down points so I could tighten it more and not worry about the fiberglass breaking. Anyone done anything like this?

ive got mine tightened down pretty well. so much so that the fiberglass flanges bend a little. I backed that up with a nylock nut so that the clamps wouldn't be able to back out. I had a problem with my clamps unscrewing after a while and that seemed to fix that and shes been holding true since then.

After a six week wait, my Snugtop came in. Ordered it with windoors this time and it was well worth it.

Very nice! I'm jealous that your windoors have slider windows in them. A.R.E. doesnt offer windoors with sliders for a shortbed.

I'm pretty happy with my Leer 100XR, and things have finally calmed down enough to go camping in it.

Is there someone here who has rear lights mounted on top of the shell? I would like to mount mine there but I was wondering if the light output stays nice even when the hatch is open...

The only difference in my picture is that I would prefer them each side of the breaking light instead of having them at the end of the crossbars.

    Thanks all!

Got my ARE CX installed. Windoors, Regular Front Window, Fabric Headliner, 12V Dome Light, and ordered it with Single T Lock handle on the rear but they gave me the double T which costs more money so I said nothing as I was on the fence about that decision.

It looks like you got a cap for a regular cab instead of a AC or DCLB by the looks of the angle of it.

Anyone have a DC ARE CX Cap? Does the serial number placard have a DC instead of RC. Already sent an email to ARE and the Dealer who installed it.
