Thanks! I wish I was smart enough to buy one of these 1st gens new. Man that rig is nice! I found that my plans changed too when I got a shell but I think you will soon find that shells are very use full. An exterior frame will look really good. I plan on building one that fits inside the shell so I can keep them both on and not have to swap all the time.

$300 is much better than I expected for a wrap. I was just quoted about $400 to paint match from a company that sells used caps. I really don't know what I am going to do but I am definitely tired of looking at my mismatched truck.

Not a problem. Just a ton of screws and there is some thin butyl tape that seals it. It stick pretty good but i used 2 hard plastic type tongue depressor tools that I still have from working automotive glass years ago. just have to pry a little, then wedge in another stick. Eventually, it will pop right out.

Yes they are. They are worth their weight in gold. Between the dog, and being able to step on the slidders and reach in towards the front of the bed, especially with the motorcycle on there since you can't easily open the back end.

I own a leer 180 and the extra headroom worth it! I am 6'2" and makes it much easier to climb inside and get my tools in the far end of the bed. I will also feel much better when I will sleep in it ;)

Some colors work mismatched but I don't think silver / red do. My new CX was close tom2K new so even if you do wrap or paint it you are way ahead of the game.

They're just cheep LED light strips. I got 3 10 packs for $10 each. They are also water proof, which is good for auto use. Link I also got some magnetic switches for around $8 each. I have one on each window with the magnet stuck to the strut so when I open the window in activates the switch. I am also using 4 diodes to control some of the interior lights for the bed.

Each of the lights pulls right around 500mA, and I have the stock interior dome light that pulls 1A. SO I have 2Amps on the rear window and 1.5A one each side. I will be adding ~ 9 to 12 around the bed under the bed rails and another 6 around the roof of the shell. They actually put out quite a bit of light. Any extras I have I am thinking under the hood/engine bay just in case I have to work on in there in the dark.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I'd like to see some under hood lights aimed at the front of the engine that illuminate the serpentine belt water pump area for those late night forays under the hood

That's what I was thinking. Always seems to happen the same time the batteries in the flash light go out.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely look into those.
How bright are they at night? I'd like to mount them under my bed rails.

They do a great job at night without being overly bright. It's not like your standing under a work light, more like a lot of dome lights. Being strips instead of a single light I won't have to worry about shadows should I have work on a back tire or do work around the back of the truck. Right after I posted the pictures I got called away, so I will be finishing the install today. After it gets dark I will post pics of the (hopefully) completed project.

Just an install tip, I used the 3M Mounting tape to hold the wires in place. This stuff is amazingly strong, though I don't know how long it will last. I then just covered the wires with black tape to hide them.
