I've been stalking Craigslist for two months, cross searching anywhere within a three hour drive. Got lucky as hell, only an hour and a half drive. Patience paid off.........finally.

i also searched for mine on craigslist for a couple months and eventually ended up driving 5 hrs to houston to get mine. But i did give only 500, so i was happy with the deal. Mine was also in great shape! Craigslist is where it's at

2nd the Craigslist route. I looked for 6 months for mine. Finally found one 2.5 hrs away with carpeted liner windoors with sliders removable front glass. Cost me $1000. It. was less than a year old when I got it. Would have cost $2600 new. Patience is a virtue. And a bitch.

I'm holding out until next weekend, hoping to get it for $500 this coming weekend. Also I'm pretty sure i'm getting ready to get rocked by a hurricane late this week. :|

So I guess you were right about the Z series, I am most likely picking up a used one with Yakima rack later this week. The guy is throwing in another crossbar with q towers that he had on the cab too. It's black so it won't look bad until I paint match it. The more I looked at the z series the more I liked it. One question though, how do you like the crank out windows? And could you take a pic of them from the inside while open?

Roof rack, Predator step bars, A.R.E. V-Series truck topper
Had this A.R.E. V-Series truck topper installed today by Suburban Toppers in Denver, CO. $1400.00 and they installed in 40 minutes. Came with the standard options: fabric headliner, front sliding window, sliding side windows, LED 3rd brake light, matching tint but with two latches. They included putting weatherstripping on the bottom edges of the topper. I also installed weatherstripping along the edges in between the truck bed and tailgate door. I have the stock Tacoma trifold tonneau for sale for $300, ONLY for anyone in the Colorado area anywhere in between Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, PM me.

    More Storage ideas...

Little Velcro straps grab the cap's carpet interior very well...mounted to my wooden box, they keep stored items in their place

I scanned CL for 3 months and saw nothing. After going out and paying full-on retail, I saw 3 on CL within a month! AHHH!!! Its luck of the draw.

I was in the same boat and eventually bought a used one that was white. A week later, someone had one for sale that was timberland mica. I thought id never find my color so i went ahead and bought the white one and painted it. Patience truly is a virtue.. i just dont have it

Word of advice. If you buy a new one, don't check back on CL for six months. Minimum. :frusty:
